Walter Stevens Obituary

79, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Mancini) Stevens. Born in Laconia, NH, he was a son of the late Harry and Ila (Howland) Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a foreman for Coto Corp. for 25 years until his retirement. Walter was a very good soul who loved to help everyone out. He enjoyed technology and was a veteran of the army national guard.

Walter is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl McVeigh and her companion Mark Flaherty of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Maureen MacLure and her husband Adam, and Bethany McVeigh and her fiancé Jason. Walter was the brother of the late Irene Stevens, Melvin Stevens, Emily Delfino and Doris Stevens.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 25th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. George the Maronite Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning 9:00-10:00 a.m.
