William R. DelSanto

78, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  He was the beloved husband of Charlene D. (Pacifico) DelSanto.  Born in Providence, Billy was a son of the late Carmino M.  and Anna M. (Schadone) DelSanto.  He worked in the traffic engineering department for the City of Providence for many years, before retiring.

Besides his wife, Billy is survived by his loving children, William R. DelSanto, Jr. and his wife Jean of Providence, Denise M. DeSimone and her husband Ralph, and Diane L. McQueeney, all of Cranston.  He was the cherished grandfather of William III, Kyle, Richard and Kelsey, and great grandfather of Sophia Marie.  Billy was the dear brother of David A. DelSanto and his wife Elaine of North Kingstown, Barbara DelSanto of Cranston, and Doreen Rogers and her husband of Warwick, and the late Angela Swider and Anthony J. DelSanto.  He was also the former father-in-law of Jeanne DelSanto.

His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston at 10 a.m.  VISITING HOURS will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.  Burial will be private. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
