Albert R. Algeni

September 12, 1925 ~ December 14, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old


92, of East Providence, formerly of Narragansett and Warwick, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Queen) Algeni. He was the longitme beloved companion of the late Areen Lipsitz. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Philomena (Damiano) Algeni. Albert was employed as a Manufacturer Rep. for many jewelry firms for 46 years until his retirement. He was also a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII, having survived a kamikaze attack on the USS Dupage.

He is survived by his dear sister Barbara Rotondo of Providence and his late siblings, Nancy Byrne, Mary Montanaro, Ann Pellegrini, and Joseph Algeni. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Lois Arsenault, Thomas Byrne, Marcia Montanaro, Kenneth Montanaro, Robert Algeni and the late Beverly Hunter; his loyal, loving caregiver Josefina Cordeiro & Family; six great nieces/nephews and four great great nieces/nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
