of Johnston, passed away on Sunday May 21, 2017 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of the late Linda (Baccarie) Macaruso. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony Macaruso, Jr. and Josephine (Casale) Macaruso. Mr. Macaruso was president of Coastal Asbestos Abatement and Ocean State Environmental.

He leaves a daughter Amanda Lynn Macaruso, son-in-law Charles Riggen a granddaughter Adriana Lynn Riggen,  his mother in law Mary Baccarie. Michael was the brother of Daniel, Robert, Steven and David Macaruso,  Josephine Desrochers, Ann Marie Macaruso and Christine Costa and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Michael was a loving devoted husband, father, Papa and brother. His contagious smile and laugh warmed everyone’s heart. His larger than life personality put a smile on everyone’s face. He will be heartfully missed.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church 927 Atwood Ave. Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
