51, of Providence, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Karen (DiVozzi) Scarcella. Born on September 20, 1964 in Florence, Italy, he was a son of the late Nicola and Teresa (Pesare) Scarcella.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Remi and Anthony Scarcella, both of Providence; dear siblings, Joseph Scarcella of Johnston, Angela DiRocco of Johnston, Chiara Rudzin of Westport, CT, Giuliano Scarcella of Johnston and Anthony Scarcella of Cranston; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sergio was the owner of Mama Teresa’s Restaurant in Cranston and served as Ward Committee Chairman of Providence Ward 13 and Dexter Fund Foundation. He lived his life to the fullest and was dearly loved by his friends and family.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Friday from 4 - 8 pm.
