87, of Johnston, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Antonucci) Izzi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Gerardo and Carolina (Rufo) Izzi.

Americo was the owner and operator of Kent Screen Print for many years. He also was the former Director then Assistant Executive Director of the Providence Boys and Girls Club for many years until his retirement.

Besides his wife, he was the loving father of Gerald Izzi and his companion Doreen Gaines of Florida, Lori Romano and her husband Anthony of Providence, Michael Izzi and his wife Jayne of Johnston; proud grandpa of Kristen and Jason Romano and “Papa Rico” to Gabriel Ross; dear brother of Ida Sisco and her husband James of North Providence and the late Anthony, Vincent, and Dante Izzi, Elvera Leone and Christine D’Ordine.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Church of Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
