Although I haven't seen Ed in a few years, I often think of him, and remember his constant words of encouragement. I met Ed as a young banker working in Johnston. He'd stop by just to say hello and ask how my family was doing. He'd often comment 'Michael, someday you're going to run this bank'. I'd laugh and say, 'Yeah maybe someday Ed! It was, and still is, always in the back of my mind that he'd say that to me... almost like a gentle nudge in the right direction when I needed it. I always wanted to move forward, so as not to disappoint the expectations Ed had for me. He would tell me that I must have a good father. And I did... He was the best father you could ask for. We lost him 6 years ago.

Ed reminds me a lot of my own father. In that respect, I know the pain and hurt your family is going through. Not that you need to hear this from a perfect stranger, but there are people like me out there who your father has left a lasting impression on. I want to thank Ed for what he probably thought was nothing, but meant the world to me. Rest in Peace my dear friend. Say hello to dad for me... He's a diehard Yankee fan by the way.

I played softball with Ed. He was a great guy and fun to be around (except when lost) I have fond memories of playing with Ed.

Eddy was one of my first friends when I started teaching at Tri-County in 1985. He was always fun to be around; everyone there knew that he was one of the "good guys." He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

My Deepest Condolences go out to the Giovannucci Family, I met Eddy almost 11 years ago and we remained friends through the years. He was a caring, compassionate and loving father to his son David. Eddy and I shared many laughs together and I always will cherish the memories I hold deep in my heart. He always ended every phone conversation the same way....I love you sweetheart keep well and I replied I love you to my friend!!!
