80, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 surrounded

 by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John J. Scardera, Sr.

 They were married for the past  56 years. Born in Cranston, she was

 the daughter of the late Angelo and Filomena (Ciano) DeSimone. Gloria was a

Hairstylist at Elaine’s Salon of Beauty in Cranston.

 Besides her beloved husband she is survived by her loving children, John

  J. Scardera Jr. and his wife Dina of Cranston and Lisa A. Scardera-Davis of

  Cranston. Gloria  was also the cherished grandmother of Ryan, Rachel and Sarah

 and dear sister of Dorothy Cilento of Cranston, Joseph DeSimone of

  Cranston, Anna Vanaria of West Warwick, Angelo DeSimone of Georgia and

 Raymond DeSimone of Johnston.

 The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Cedar Crest

Nursing Home for their skillful and attentive care of Gloria.

 Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 9-10 am in the NARDOLILLO

FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of

  Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be in

  St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may
